Procedure for certification of products imported to Turkmenistan
1. For certification of products imported to Turkmenistan, the Applicant must submit documents according to the following list to the certification body:
statement;
a copy of the act issued by the customs authorities (copy of the customs inspection act or the act on the placement of goods in a place of temporary storage);
a copy of the customs declaration;
a copy of the contract (if the products are imported to Turkmenistan under the contract);
a copy of the invoice or invoice;
when importing products under a contract, copies of documents confirming the quality of products required (from the seller, contractor) on the basis of the contract;
if the Applicant is a legal entity, a power of attorney for his/her representative, certified by the seal and signature of the head of the enterprise (organization, firm);
if the Applicant is an individual, a power of attorney for the representative of the Applicant, certified by a notary public or with a personal seal.
2. If the product submitted for certification has more than one name or information about the product in a large volume, a specification (attachment) is attached to the application, depending on the characteristics of the product, the following information is indicated:
name, quality, grade, product brand, etc., quantity or volume;
composition of products (set, kit), components.
On each page of the specification, the Applicant signs, and if the Applicant is a legal entity, then he also puts a seal. The specification is attached to each page of the issued certificate of conformity.
3. If the product submitted for certification is a measuring instrument (or a unit in the structure of which there is a measuring instrument), then the Applicant must submit a document confirming the entry of the product into the State Register of Measuring Instruments of Turkmenistan.
4. Documents submitted by the Applicant must be in the state language or translated into the state language in the prescribed manner. If the volume of simultaneously submitted documents is large, then, in agreement with the certification body, they can be accepted in another foreign language. The Applicant in the application for certification fully sets out the required information, and the application is not allowed to be signed by another person on behalf of the Applicant.
5. If necessary, the certification body may require from the Applicant a regulatory document for products and (or) additional documents necessary to confirm the compliance of products with the requirements of the regulatory document.
