The Department organizes and monitors compliance with the Law of Turkmenistan "On Ensuring the Integrity of Measurements" and other normative legal acts of Turkmenistan on metrology by the agencies-enterprises, ministries and departments subordinate to the State Service, supports and maintains the appropriate metrological level of standard measuring instruments and standards. establishes a facility, carries out metrological control and monitoring, regardless of the type of ownership, it carries out state control over compliance with the requirements of standards and other regulatory documents on standardization in the provision of metrology, the use of measuring instruments in the storage of regulatory documents of institutions, enterprises, organizations and private entrepreneurs located within the territory of Mary Velayat,provides instructions and instructions to the users of measuring instruments to protect them from the negative impact of the inaccuracy of measurement results, carries out state control over the purchase, use and storage of measuring instruments in controlled enterprises, organizations, and private entrepreneurs, conducts state testing, verification and calibration of measuring instruments, and standards of measuring instruments and standards conducts metrological testing of standards, participates in certifying laboratories that test the quality of products (works and services) within the territory of the province, conducts attestation work in enterprises that carry out testing, production and repair of measuring instruments,In accordance with the work plans, the department carries out other activities within the scope of its competence during integrated and targeted metrology inspections.
